The Divisional Swim Meet is coming up on Saturday, June 18! This is an exciting meet with all six teams in our division swimming for team trophies and glory! Individual races get medals for places 1-8 and ribbons to 12th place, and relays get medals for 1-3 and ribbons to 6th place. All swimmers that can swim across the pool are expected to attend and it is a LOT of fun! Coaches will have special treats after each race for all swimmers who work hard and swim their best, so be sure to have your swimmer see their coaches after each race. The meet lasts a little longer, so expect to be there from 6:30 AM to around 4:00 or 5:00 PM. We have first warm-ups, so it is important to be there on time This year we are renting the amazing Cy-Fair Natatorium for our meet (if you were at Sprint Sizzler, this is the same place!), so the swimmers will swim in their beautiful 8-lane INDOOR pool. Setup will be outside, but families can come in and watch the races, then return to their camps. Note that for this meet there will be three shifts of volunteers and sign up will be early! See the info below.

- Meet will go to 4:00 or 5:00 PM

Volunteers: for this meet there are three shifts for volunteers, and our team is managing concessions, so there are a lot of opportunities to get points (and many are indoors!). Sign-ups will be earlier than usual, as all jobs must be finalized by Monday, June 13. So the sign-ups have been posted already this week.We are so thankful for the families who have stepped up and volunteered this season and we will need all hands on deck to make the divisional meet run smoothly.
Parking: Attached is a parking map. You will enter on Falcon Rd. off of Windfern Rd. then turn left after the large field to drop off your gear and park.
GWF Breakers Setup: The Breakers setup area is shown on the attached map. We’ll be on West half of the lawn to the North of the Natatorium. Note that we are sharing the lawn with Terranova West, so please be respectful of their space. And please help ensure the lawn is free of trash after the meet.
Concessions: The Breakers are running concessions, and all the teams are helping us to staff it. All of the proceeds from concessions will go towards paying for the Natatorium, so please plan to eat with us! Mandy has put together a great menu with all your favorites and some new things too! We’ll have coffee, donuts, kolaches, breakfast tacos, burgers, hot dogs, sausage on a stick, corn dogs, nachos, chips, sno-cones, cotton candy, twisted lollipops, popcorn, candy, drinks, etc. We will take both cash and credit cards.
Watching the Races: There is plenty of indoor space to watch the races, but not enough room for everyone to setup inside, so no one can camp out in the stands. You can come in, watch your kid’s event and then return to the GWF area. Here are the Nat rules:
- No coolers or strollers in the stands
- No setup in the stands
- No standing against the glass
Best Practices: The Divisional meet is the most important and competitive meet all year! All our dual meets are considered practice meets leading up to our Divisional meet. All Breakers, regardless of the length of their hair, should wear caps and goggles. Good sportsmanship is a requirement. Be kind, encouraging and respectful to all swimmers, parents, and officials - both on our team and on the other teams. Bad language or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated, and the Referee can remove violators from the event and cancel all their points. That being said, it is also a super fun meet to hang out with our Whole Breakers Team for one last meet of the season. We look forward to seeing all our Breakers swimming fast and having fun!!
Go, Fight Win!
Go Breakers!!
