Good Afternoon Breakers!

Thank you to everyone who came out last week to practice. We hope you enjoyed the first week of the season. While the water was cold, the hot chocolate was a hit with all swimmers.   Please see below for updates and information regarding the Kick-Off Dinner and Job Sign Up for Time Trials.

Volunteer Deposit - Due today to continue practicing

Thank you to all the families who have already submitted their Volunteer Deposits. As a reminder, if you still need to turn in your $200 Volunteer Deposit, please bring it to the pool today and turn it into either Christine or me (Megan). We will be at the pool today and check off families as they enter. While we do not want any swimmers to miss practice, this volunteer deposit is a requirement to be on the team. If you have any questions, please reach out to Christine or me.

Kick-Off Dinner RSVP - Open Now - Please RSVP on the website by Thursday, 5/2, at 6 PM.

For the Kick-Off Dinner, we need to get an accurate count of the number of families attending the Kick-Off Dinner. Each swimmer will get 2 slices of pepperoni pizza unless cheese is specified in the RSVP comments. Families can order extra by the slice for $2 or a whole pizza for $10.

Time Trials - Volunteer Job Sign-Up Opens 4/30 at 6 PM

Time Trials is an all-hands-on-deck event where swimmers and families will get a hands-on experience of what a swim meet will run. We also use this event to help the coaches get times for swimmers, which will help with heat placement for the races. Please sign up ASAP, starting Tuesday, April 30th @ 6pm, to get the volunteer job of your choice! All spots are first come, first served.

Missing Practice, Meets, or Time Trials?

• Swimmers Missing Practices or Events: While coming to practice is essential for your swimmer's continual progress, we know there may be times when your swimmer cannot make practice or an event. If your swimmer will be missing practice, Time Trials, or meets for any reason, please notify Head Coach Amber Stepanik.

For events such as Time Trials or swim meets, please email Amber at [email protected] by the Tuesday before the event.

• Parent Volunteers Missing Events: Parents will need to let Temi Russell, Volunteer Coordinator, know that they will not be at the meet as soon as they know you will not be attending. There is also a “will not be attending job” option in the job sign-up section to help us know which adults will not be attending.  If your swimmer is not attending, please still let Coach Amber know by contacting her directly.
